Line 6 POD HD 300

Line 6 POD HD 300

  • Built-in tuner with signal mute
  • Bent sheet metal chassis, metal footswitches, and expression pedal

POD HD300 represents a giant leap forward for amp modeling. It is the only multi-effect pedal to boast 16 state-of-the-art Line 6 HD amp models, 80+ modern and vintage-styled M-class effects, and a comprehensive digital and analog I/O.

HD amp modeling: sound and feel like never before
HD amp models defy the accepted standard. They feel, behave, and interact with previously unachievable realism.

Creating these new HD amp models was no small feat. We mixed 15 years of amp modeling experience with 3 years of new research and development to build an entirely new amp modeling technology from the ground up. During that time, we hunted down 16 incredible amplifiers and – with the help of LA’s top tube amp experts – restored each one back to peak condition. The new modeling technology uses 10-times more amplifier information than before, including single-ended class A tube stages, class AB push/pull interactions, power supply behavior, and more. The result is unprecedented, warmth, feel, sustain, and articulation for you to fall in love with.

Tube amp fanatics have long enthused that their favorite stacks and combos aren’t merely “amps,” but instruments themselves, with playability equal to that of the guitar plugged into them. New HD modeling takes the POD HD experience to that same exalted level, capturing the genuine playability that great guitarists demand.

Your amp collection—now in HD!
On the menu is a collection of freshly modeled amps, many of which are brand-new to POD, and all of which are essential for performing guitarists who require a wide variety of tones in one streamlined, multi-FX-sized package.

POD HD300 includes 16 HD amp models based on*

80+ M-class FX
Made famous by Line 6 M13 and M9 Stompbox Modelers, M-class FX are the new stage-standards. POD HD300 features a whopping 80+ M-class effects to craft your sound. With this wide tonal palette to play with, you can sound like anyone under the sun… or no one but you. Use up to 4 FX at once.
  • 30+ distortions (from classic stompbox distortion to thick metal chunk), EQs (from stomp comps and studio tube compression) and pitch FX
  • 30+ analog and digital delays (including cool tube and solid-state tape echoes), echoes, wahs, and reverbs (from surfy springs, to studio plates, to cutting-edge digital rooms)
  • 20+ swirly phasers, filters (including several exclusive custom filters) and other mods (including blackface-style opto and brownface bias-modulating tremolos, choruses, and rotary speakers)

The power of this collection is truly mind-boggling. In addition to these classic sounds themselves, POD HD300 functions as a fully featured looping, pitch shifting, and harmonizing machine. Ready to start creating? This rig could keep you going for a lifetime.

Unprecedented flexibility—stunning simplicity
Beyond the mere depth of the amp and FX models, POD HD300 offers flexibility to mix and match amps and pedals in multiple pre-set rigs, attainable at the stomp of a switch.

And where other manufacturers seem to require a degree in nuclear physics to access this kind of deep programmability, we’ve made it easy. Smart FX make it a snap to quickly dial in your tone, and the free, easy to use editor/librarian software supports your deepest, darkest tonal explorations. POD HD300 was designed by guitarists for guitarists.

Comprehensive connectivity for live and studio use
Put simply, POD HD300 connects to just about anything and everything – analog or digital, balanced or unbalanced, for amplification or recording.

A snapshot of the back panel shows 1/4” and XLR outputs (mono/stereo), USB, MP3/CD input, L6 LINK jack for seamless integration with Line 6 DT50™ tube amplifiers, and more.

Built like a tank
POD HD300’s cutting-edge technology is kept safe within a “bulletproof” bent sheet metal housing with heavy-duty metal footswitches and expression pedal. No injection-molded plastic boxes here—POD HD300 is ready to lap up years of road and stage abuse and keep you playing.

Chromatic Tuner
While not as glamorous as all those nifty effects, every guitar player who’s come within two feet of a tremolo can’t live without a tuner. PODXT’s built-in Chromatic Tuner offers precision tuning at the touch of a button. Audio Mute or Bypass options with an adjustable tuning reference are featured as well as hands-free operation when used with the FBV series foot controllers.

  • Precision Chromatic Tuning
  • Audio Mute
  • Bypass
  • Hands-free Operation (with optional FBV-series foot controllers Check them out here!)

Ins and Outs
POD® XT Pro has some of the most advanced analog and digital routing options ever put in two-spaces. If you remember the days of moving an 18-space rack with gear that always broke, hummed like a lawnmower, and cost more than your car, PODXT Pro will seem like a dream sent down by the tone gods. Our 24-bit converters (and 32-bit floating-point processing) create a killer tone, delivered through +4dBu balanced or -10dBV unbalanced 1/4-inch connectors. Or go digital with PODXT Pro’s AES/EBU, S/PDIF, or USB digital audio ins and outs for the most incredible tone available. MIDI lets you automate every move and our optional FBV generation foot controllers let you do it all with your feet. PODXT Pro also comes with a high-power headphone output for silent jamming.

Re-Amping
Using the ANALOG REAMPING INPUT/OUTPUT connections, you can send a dry unprocessed guitar signal to your recording device and send it right back into the PODXT Pro. Why is this so cool? Well, now you can go back at any time and change the entire sound of the guitar track you recorded. How many times have you recorded a track where you wanted to just pull back the drive on a stompbox, or add a little more spring reverb? Now you can! If you're really into experimenting with sounds, try sending other tracks like vocals, keys, or bass tracks through the Line Level Input jack! If you're really sneaky, you can also do this digitally with PODXT Pro's AES/EBU, S/PDIF, or USB connections.

Stereo Effects Loop
Even though PODXT Pro has more stompbox and studio effects than you can shake a stick at, we've decided to give you some extra rope and thrown in a programmable effects loop. Now you can run your old rackmount effects processors in series or parallel.

Unbalanced Analog Out
These 1/4-inch outputs can be run in Studio or Live mode. In Studio mode, they're ready to plug into a recorder with unbalanced -10dBV inputs. In Live mode, they don't have speaker simulation, and are ready for connection to an onstage amp.

Balanced Analog Out
These balanced XLR outputs can be run in Studio or Live mode. In Studio mode, they're ready to plug into a recorder with balanced +4dBu inputs. In Live mode, they send -10dBV signals to the P.A. or house system.

AES/EBU & S/PDIF Inputs and Outputs
These jacks can send and receive digital audio signals in any combination of 16, 20, or 24-bits with 44.1, 48, 88.2 or 96KHz sampling rates. PODXT Pro uses its internal clock to generate the sample rate you choose, or you can sync to the signal you send it from your digital system.

USB Port
PODXT Pro's USB driver software allows direct digital recording to your Mac or PC, plus the ability to play back audio from your computer like a soundcard.

MIDI
For those of you who still have MIDI chops, the PODXT Pro lets you control everything via MIDI. You can select any PODXT Pro Channel and automate any PODXT Pro parameter. Come on, we dare you.

Pedal
PODXT Pro has a couple of foot control options that make getting great guitar tracks even easier. Our FBV and FBV Shortboard allow you to select different patches, tap in your effect speeds/times/tempos, and kick in the tuner. Plus, both foot controllers give you a Volume and Wah pedal. This same jack also sends power to the FBV and FBV Shortboard.

Tone Crafting
Creating Your Perfect Tone
While the presets, many of which are song based, are a great place to start looking for a great tone, sometimes you just want to roll your own. Critical tone controls are available as knobs on the main panel, but POD® XT Pro also offers an intuitive, incredibly easy to use screen display for deep patch editing, where any tone shaping parameter is easily accessed and changed to generate your own sonic character.

Above the PODXT's display you'll find 5 effect on/off buttons where you can instantaneously defeat or enable stompboxes or rack-type effects. Double pressing each button allows you to edit the effects settings. Single pressing seamlessly switches the effect on or off.

Comp (Gate)
This button accesses our model of a highly sought-after LA-2A® COMPRESSOR, as well as a lightning-fast NOISE GATE. You'll find a fully-adjustable threshold for each, as well as a completely variable decay time for the gate.

Stomp
This is where PODXT Pro's STOMPBOXES and vintage distortion models live. There are 10 classic stompboxes ranging from light overdrives, heavy distortions, and psychedelic 60's fuzzes. Whichever one you choose, you'll have complete control over the Drive, Gain and Tone knobs.

Mod
PODXT Pro comes with all the classic flavors of MODULATION like Chorus, Flanger, Phaser, Tremolo, Rotary and Vibe. Chorus like Andy, flange like Eddie, vibe like Jimi... it's all there.

Delay
PODXT Pro has faithful models of vintage tape echoes to modern marvels like tap-tempo stereo ping-pongs. You can adjust the delay time in milliseconds or by any note value you choose. Just like the original POD™, you can easily TAP in a song's tempo, and now you also have tap tempo control over modulation speeds. Imagine changing the speed of your tremolo along with your delay time right from the front panel - or via your foot using the optional FBV Shortboard™.

Cab/AIR

To top it off you can mix and match speaker cabinets, microphones (and even mic placement!) in the CABINET section. PODXT Pro's next generation speaker cabinet models include all the historic speaker types you've come to know and love. You'll swear you're hearing the paint rattle off the studio walls thanks to Line 6's all new A.I.R. II technology.

Reverb
PODXT Pro gives you a full-time reverb knob just like your old standby. But in addition to the authentic spring tanks, you now have everything from vintage Plate reverbs to cavernous Halls.

  • Multiple layers of signal protection; Encrypted data stream; Simultaneous broadcasts on multiple channels

Relay G50 12-channel wireless system redefines the wireless experience for guitarists and bassists. Its superior sound, professional dependability and refreshing simplicity are simply unavailable from other wireless systems.

Superior Sound
Relay G50 provides a pure signal. Its clarity rivals that of the highest-quality guitar cables. Guitars get a beautiful high-end sparkle and basses get a thunderous low-end punch, even at distances of up to 200 feet. Traditional wireless systems compromise their sound by rolling-off crucial high- and low-end frequencies and compressing their signals. Relay G50 offers superior sound with full bandwidth and zero compression.

Professional Dependability
Relay G50 broadcasts over the 2.4GHz band, which keeps its signal free from many kinds of interference. Traditional wireless systems, on the other hand, are susceptible to dropouts, static and many other kinds of interference. For added security, Relay G50 employs exclusive signal protection technology--it simultaneously broadcasts encrypted data streams to multiple antennas. Refreshing Simplicity Relay G50 is a low-profile system that's easy to use. The lightweight transmitter remains out of the way of your performance and its LCD displays channel number and battery life. The rugged metal receiver offers easy-to-read LEDs that display power, status and battery life. Its dual 1/4-inch outputs make it an easy addition to your pedal board.

Receiver features side-mounted 1/4-inch ins and outs and internal antennas, making it easy to add to a pedal board.

Attached to Your Guitar Cable?
For players attached to cables, adopting a wireless system introduces many questions: What will it feel like? Will it change my sound? Relay G50 sounds just like a cable, but it also sounds just like your cable. Relay G50 features EQ settings that match the frequency responses of typical guitar cables.

VWT
Exclusive VWT (Virtual Wire Transmission) technology ensures full-range frequency response, excellent transient response, and wide dynamic range--just like a high-quality guitar cable.

Superior specs
Relay digital wireless systems produce full-range tones with 10Hz-20kHz frequency response, exceedingly low noise with up to 120dB dynamic range, and studio-quality resolution with 24-bit A/D conversion. (Comparably priced analog wireless systems offer 50Hz-15kHz frequency response and >90dB dynamic range. This wreaks havoc on your tone, especially if you use a high-gain amp.)

Cable tone simulation
Using a cable and a wireless system? Now you can switch back and forth without having to adjust the tone settings on your amplifier. Relay digital wireless systems feature a Cable Tone Simulator, which lets you match the sound of your Relay to the sound of your cable.

Compander-Free
Companders squash your signal and ruin your tone. Analog wireless systems require companders but Relay wireless systems do not. Remaining compander-free enables Relay to deliver a beautiful high-end sparkle, thunderous low-end punch, and touch response that analog wireless systems simply cannot deliver.

Diagram on how companders ruin your signal

Remaining compander-free gives better sound than analog wireless systems.

DCL
Exclusive DCL (Digital Channel Lock) technology automatically locks out all sources of interference. The only sound that will come out of your amplifier is you - not static, not Top 40 radio, just you. Guaranteed.

2.4GHz broadcast
The best way to avoid interference? Don't get in its way. Relay digital wireless systems broadcast in the 2.4GHz band, which successfully avoids interference caused by TV stations, public safety broadcasts, cell phone towers, and other high-powered sources.

What about WiFi?
Worried about interference caused by 2.4GHz WiFi networks and Bluetooth® devices? Don't be. Relay digital wireless systems use uniquely addressed and encoded digital transmission technology. Your tone will make it from your transmitter to your receiver free of interference.

Features a switch for changing wireless channels

Don't waste time scanning for open channels.

Full quality, no matter what
Whether you're playing two feet from your Relay or at the edge of its range, you get the same great specs: full frequency response, superior dynamic range, cable-inspired dependability, and 24-bit A/D conversion.

All channels, all the time
All channels in all Relay digital wireless systems work all the time. Too good to be true? Maybe for an analog wireless system. Relay digital wireless systems are different. There's no website to reference, and no need to scan for open channels.

Ins and Outs

Whether you’re practicing the songs you’ve written, recording an album, or playing live on stage, Floor POD® Plus has all the ins and outs you need to shine in any situation.  Just plug in front of any guitar amp and crank it up, or plug directly into the board to instantly access that famous POD® direct tone.

MIDI In & Out - Connect Floor POD Plus to your MIDI equipment to select Channel Memories (via Program Change messages), automate settings (via Continuous Controller messages) and back up your tones (via SysEx). All the details are online at line6.com/manuals, in the downloadable MIDI Reference document.

Phones - When it’s time to monitor while recording or to make sure you aren’t going to keep the neighbors up all night, plug in the headphones here.

Output To Amp/Line - The unbalanced 1/4-inch connectors get the sound from your Floor POD Plus to a guitar amplifier, recorder, mixer or PA system. Flick the rear panel switch to AMP when you’re feeding into the front of a guitar amp, or choose LINE to send you signal to a mixer or PA. The rear panel LEVEL knob sets the - you guessed it! – Your master output level. Changing the OUTPUT level does not change your tone, so you can get the tone you want at any volume level.

Aux Input - Connect a CD player, MP3 player, drum machine, virtual accordion, or other device here, and you’ll hear it at the Floor POD Plus headphone and Left and Right outputs. Very handy for jamming along!

Input – Hey- Your guitar goes here.

Amazing Sound with Minimal Setup Time

When you bring Floor POD® Plus to your gig, you have all of your signature sounds ready to go with no hassles.  Plug in front of any guitar amp or use the direct outs to go to the mixing board, either way you’re gonna sound great.  Why?  Because they are your sounds without compromise.

Record With Ease

When it comes time to record, Floor POD® Plus takes your signature sounds and lays them perfectly in the mix. Just plug it into the mixing board, call up your presets, and make music history. No more hauling around a bunch of heavy gear, so your broken back is a thing of the past.

JTV-69 is designed in the classic 25-1/2” scale, 3-pickup tradition. Its alder body, maple neck, and 22-fret rosewood fingerboard produce a bright, percussive snap but can yield plenty of bluesy warmth when required.

The brand-new James Tyler Custom Tremolo bridge, which was engineered for increased resonance and improved tuning stability, gives you access to the smooth vibrato action that is a big part of this breed of guitar.

A PAF-style humbucker in the bridge complements the vintage-style single-coil pickups in the neck and middle positions. (All are loaded with alnico magnets and wound to James Tyler's specs.)

JTV-69 guitars are carefully constructed to exacting standards at one of the world's most respected guitar factories. Upon arrival at its region of sale, each instrument undergoes a high-quality, multi-point setup and inspection.

Effects
POD® 2.0 comes with a built in set of effects that are tweaked to perfection. This "best of" collection of effects makes searching for the perfect sounds ultra easy. Multiple versions of the effects give you rack or stompbox versions, and the combination effects give you classic setups like Delay and Chorus simultaneously.

There’s even a full time Reverb, Tap Tempo for getting your delay’s in time with the band, and an Effect Tweak knob for custom tailoring your effects. Plus, you’ll never be out of tune because you’ll get a Chromatic Tuner with a silent mute function for tuning between songs.

POD 2.0 Effects:
  • Compressor
  • Tremolo
  • Chorus 1
  • Chorus 2
  • Flanger 1
  • Flanger 2
  • Rotary Speaker
  • Delay

Ins and Outs
POD® is equipped to handle today’s guitar recording needs with +4dBu balanced or -10dBV unbalanced 1/4" connectors. MIDI lets you automate every move and our optional FBV™ generation foot controllers let you do it all with your feet. POD 2.0 also comes with a high-power headphone output for silent jamming.

  • Input - Plug your guitar in here.
  • Phones - Plug in your headphones here for silent practicing.
  • Left & Right Output - These are balanced 1/4" TRS connectors, and ready to rock with pro +4 dBu balanced equipment. They will also work happily with unbalanced -10 dBV equipment and standard guitar cables.
  • A.I.R.™ Mode – If you want to plug POD into a guitar amp as "front end," flip the A.I.R. Mode switch to AMP, and set your amp for a clean tone. This defeats the speaker-microphone-room tone simulation of the A.I.R. processing. If you’re using POD in almost any other setup (plugging direct into a mixer, recorder, PA, power amplifier, etc.) you want the DIRECT position on the A.I.R. switch.
  • Foot Pedal Connector - POD® 2.0 is now compatible with the entire line of current foot controllers including FBV Express™ and FBV Shortboard™!
  • MIDI In & Out - Connect POD to your MIDI equipment to select channel memories or automate POD settings.
