For musicians who love their guitar and amp's tone. The Pharaoh pedal, while its roots and DNA are classic fuzz, has a few twists. The Pharaoh has a wide range of clipping and tonal options. From a cleanish boost, to a light OD, all the way to complete saturated fuzz. It sounds clear and natural, strong and bold. Your guitar sound isn't highjacked, and your amp's tone is not destroyed.

The Pharaoh utilizes a dual tone control. The tone circuit is designed to suffer little volume loss, and give a natural sound. Your guitar and amp still sound like your guitar and amp. No drastic cuts or boosts. The tone section allows your amp to do the heavy lifting.

Clipping can be altered with the typical FUZZ knob. Also with a hi/lo input switch, not unlike that of your favorite tube amp. Lo for more headroom,/less clipping. Hi for less headroom/more clipping. The bottom switch controls the second set of diodes. Diodes in for less volume/headroom and more clipping. Diodes out for more volume /headroom and less clipping. A third option, asymmetrical germanium clipping diodes is available as a custom order. These two switches can take the Pharaoh from a clean/ fat boost to light OD which cleans up well with your guitar's volume knob. All the way to a hairy open fuzz sound to a completely saturated ,gnarlyfuzz. With the Germanium option, you'll get the ability to have smooth lively compressed fuzz.

The Pharaoh utilizes signal caps large enough to pass all frequencies through, uncut. Again, a natural sound. This is especially important for bass player; you'll get huge fuzz with NO low end loss, and without squishy flubby tones.

This is an Evah Pirazzi Gold Violin brand medium gauge full string set made by Pirastro. It features a stainless steel ball-end E string, an aluminum wound synthetic core A string, a silver wound synthetic core D string, and a gold wound synthetic core G string. This full 4/4 violin string set is medium gauge. The sound of Evah Pirazzi Gold Violin strings is full-bodied from the very bottom to the top of the register. The design of the individual strings has been carefully matched to one another allowing for effortlessly smooth transitions from string to string giving the strings both a marked presence and clarity and outstanding pedal-like resonance. Two versions of the G string are available, one wound with gold and one with silver. The Gold 45/100 is the culmination of the search for the classic JTM 45/100 in a simple and cleanly executed pedal.

Having had the good fortune to play extensively through an original JTM 45/100 and countless vintage plexi's, I have always consider these crown jewels to be the sonic footprint of a generation. I have tweaked the Gold 45/100 as closely as I could to capturing the essential qualities of those amps including the big and just-enough-sag in the low end; the fat mids and just-right top-end. There is plenty of gain to recreate the dimed quality of these amplifiers but accurate enough to not get mushy.

The lean/rich control was designed with a specific goal: when turned fully counter-clockwise in the lean position, it approximates the tone and feel of plugging into the Normal channel of the amp. In the fully clockwise position, it approximates the tone and feel of plugging into the Bright input. Set it in the middle and you approximate the sound of jumpering the inputs!
