Pro Co's SOLO is the first in a new breed of professional stomp boxes. SOLO is based on asymetrical clipping, which produces a sound wave that has a dramatically different shape from top to bottom over traditional effects. Asymmetrical clipping also gives the SOLO a tone that blossoms as its sustain matures, much like a guitar on the verge of feedback. SOLO has three switchable asymmetric clipping levels. Each level varies the sound, from a low watt vintage tube amplifier to a high watt, high gain modern head. The lower section acts like an anttenuator, lowering overall volume of the pedal without taking away from the distortion. This allows for high gain sound at low volume without any compromise. SOLO has added a fourth knob. Along with the Distortion,Tone,and Volume knobs found on other Pro Co effects, SOLO has a Scoop knob.The Scoop knob works in conjunction with the tone knob giving you another tool to help you reach tonal nirvana.
