A close cousin the the Route 808, the Open Road scoops out the mids just a bit, opening up your guitar's tone and letting it breath a bit more. It's a great way to kick your amp into high gear without switching channels. While you can use the Open Road to get punchy leads it's less of a metal lead and more of a rock breakup kind of overdrive, hitting those rich, plexi-style tones when cranked. If you're the kind of player who likes to push the power amp section to the just past the point that the tubes start to break up but chords haven't started to get muddy yet, then you're really gonna love this baby.
